Gigabyte's 40th Anniversary: Unveiling the INFINITY Series - A Gaming & AI Revolution (2026)

In a bold move to celebrate its 40th anniversary, Gigabyte has unveiled the INFINITY Series, a comprehensive product line that encompasses gaming and local AI computing. This ambitious push into the future of computing includes a wide range of components, from motherboards and graphics cards to peripherals and AI systems, all designed to push the boundaries of what's possible.

At the heart of this announcement are two new motherboards. The X870 AORUS INFINITY, tailored for AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D systems, boasts DDR5 speeds of up to 11,400 MT/s with low-latency tuning. Its counterpart, the X870E AORUS INFINITY NEXT, adds a 3D metal-printed cooling component and Quad OptiMOS power delivery for sustained high-performance workloads.

Graphics cards are also a significant part of the launch. The AORUS GeForce RTX 5090 INFINITY, along with the RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, and RTX 5070 INFINITY models, feature a STEALTH layout that moves the power connector to the rear, enhancing both build aesthetics and airflow.

The INFINITY branding extends beyond core components. Gigabyte introduced the AORUS K10 INFINITY keyboard, featuring magnetic switches, 0.1mm actuation, an 8000 Hz polling rate, and a 3.1-inch OLED touch screen. The AORUS M10 INFINITY mouse, with optical switches and an aluminum-magnesium alloy base, further enhances the user experience.

The AORUS C510 GLASS INFINITY chassis stands out with its 16-inch side display built into the case, adding a new dimension to the user interface. These peripherals are designed to complement the high-performance hardware, offering a seamless and immersive computing experience.

Beyond the flagship series, Gigabyte expanded its mainstream and enthusiast desktop hardware. The Z890 Plus Series supports DDR5 memory at capacities of up to 256GB in dual-DIMM configurations, utilizing CQDIMM technology and a sophisticated BIOS tuning system called D5 DUO X to manage timing, signal synchronization, and voltage behavior.

Design was another focus. The AERO WOOD aesthetic, previously seen on motherboards, has been extended to graphics cards with the AORUS GeForce RTX 5080 INFINITY WOOD. Additionally, the STEALTH approach has been applied to what Gigabyte claims is the first gaming B850 mATX reverse-connector motherboard, compatible with over 50 chassis from 20 manufacturers.

Gigabyte also introduced the AORUS ELITE 360 AIO cooler, integrating cooling, system monitoring, and lighting into a single, sleek package. This cooler is a testament to Gigabyte's commitment to innovation and user experience.

The launch also deepens Gigabyte's focus on local AI systems. The AORUS RTX 5090 AI BOX and AORUS RTX 5060 Ti AI BOX are external systems that can transform laptops into desktop-class machines for gaming and AI tasks. The AI TOP 100 B850, described as a local AI supercomputer, supports models of over 200B parameters and has been pre-validated across more than 100 frameworks, making it a powerful tool for developers and researchers.

In the realm of displays, the AORUS ELITE Series introduces OLED and Mini LED models in 27-inch and 32-inch formats, offering QHD and UHD resolutions up to 540Hz refresh rates. Some 4K screens support dual display modes, providing users with unparalleled visual clarity and flexibility.

One of the most notable additions is the FM275K16P, a 27-inch 5K Multi Mode Mini LED gaming monitor. This model combines high-detail visuals with HDR and gaming-focused features, setting a new standard for immersive gaming experiences.

Across the monitor line, Gigabyte is adding AI Picture Mode, Tactical HUD and Tactical Crosshair, along with an updated AI OLED CARE PRO system for panel maintenance and thermal management. These features enhance the overall user experience, ensuring that the monitors not only look great but also perform optimally.

The laptop range was also refreshed with the AORUS MASTER 16, the AERO X16 Copilot+ PC, and the GIGABYTE GAMING A16 full performance version. These machines are designed to bring on-device AI functions to thinner, more versatile designs, making them ideal for users who demand both power and portability.

In collaboration with Nvidia, Gigabyte's GiMATE Creator now uses NVFP4 quantisation to improve local AI image generation efficiency, allowing FLUX.2-klein to run up to 180% faster than before. This partnership exemplifies Gigabyte's commitment to innovation and its ability to push the boundaries of technology.

"As we celebrate 40 years of GIGABYTE, we take it further, all shaped by a simple idea: INFINITY, to go beyond limits, unlock new potential, and redefine what's possible across every product we build," said Eddie Lin, Chief Executive Officer, Gigabyte Group. This statement encapsulates Gigabyte's vision and its relentless pursuit of excellence in the ever-evolving world of technology.
